Gameloft’s Asphalt series has developed like a fine wine maturing and refining in its age. Ubisoft has created a game that somehow possess players for just “one more run”, “one more attempt at perfection” even in the face of countless failures.
Using graphics resources borrowed from the recent Rayman console platformers, this next level of polish creates a game that’s somehow both approachable and challenging. In a time when “Runner” games are released on nearly a daily basis with cookie cutter design, Rayman Jungle Run has risen above the competition with superior artistic design, innovative one button gameplay, and challenging level architecture. If you get time, check out that video, I think it's one of my better pieces of work so far. It also may not 100% match what I say, I like a little improvisation here and there. I learned a few lessons in gathering all this data and hope to do it again in the future over subcategories etc with a few tweaks based on those lessons.
